Students at Music Matters have many options available to them in exploring the world of music, either in a private setting or group class. Those enrolled in private lessons will have a weekly lesson that teaches the fundamentals of music such as theory, reading, scales and others. These students also have the option to perform in our Music Matters Recital Series.
Parents can relax in one of our two lounges, surf the web with our free Wi-Fi, or read their favorite magazine. This is a great time to relax and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere.
Music Matters’ school year starts in September and ends in May with having a Summer Session for the months of June, July, and August. Students may enroll in private lessons at anytime and all group classes at the start of a new cycle.
Ensemble classes focus on making music as a group. Here, students perform fun and exciting pieces in a variety of styles. These classes are a way to experience music in a social setting while still having an educational focus. Many students participate in both private lessons and ensembles. See course listings for more information.
Music Matters offers several performance opportunities for both students and faculty though out the school year. By having regular recitals, students set realistic goals and prepare a piece of music for public performance. Many of our recitals have fun themes like “Rock and Roll” or “Concert Classics”.
The Music Factory® is a recital where students compose their own pieces of music to perform. No matter what their ability level, students have the experience of exploring music in a way that is much different than just learning how to play an instrument. This is our most popular recital.
Payments are made monthly and due on the first of the month. Music Matters accepts Visa, MasterCard, and personal checks. For more information about our pricing and payment policies, please contact the school.
